At Salford Translations Ltd, we have over 20 years' experience of managing the end-to-end translation of technical manuals, operation handbooks and user guides.
It all starts with excellent translators, with fully-qualified translators who each have several years of experience of technical translation. And our specialist translators are amongst the very best. So whether you need a full German translation of your manual, or an update to an earlier Dutch translation, you can have full confidence in our translation team.
Through our effective project management, we have the capacity to synchronise translation and DTP workflows so that all translated versions of your documentation can be ready for publication simultaneously. We frequently handle complex multilingual translation projects involving simultaneous delivery in up to twenty languages. This offers our clients the benefit of being able to streamline their publication process safe in the knowledge that all translated versions of their documentation will be delivered on the same, scheduled date. On time, and on budget.

We have systems and procedures that enable us to translate user guides and manuals in most formats. Our aim is to make your life as easy as possible. We offer our clients a full solution for multilingual documentation. You give us your manual or user guide in the format that you have used to produce it, and we translate your manual into the language or languages that you need, finalise the DTP in each language, and give you back a finished manual in each language. We also produce PDF versions of translated manuals for many of our clients. In terms of file formats, we regularly translate manuals produced in FrameMaker, Quark Xpress, InDesign, or even Microsoft Word. And we are familiar with the needs of companies that use Content Management Systems, or XML solutions such as DocBook or DITA.
With over 20 years' translation experience, we are used to delivering multiple languages on time, on schedule and on budget. We have the systems to enable us to do this, a team of people with the experience to do this, and the specialist translation tools that enable us to do this. And we have been translating user documentation since 1988, so we can offer you the benefit of over 20 years' professional experience.
Our investment in translation memory software, and the corresponding filters for many of the most commonly-used DTP packages means that any subsequent revisions to your source language manual will not involve the cost or time implications of reprocessing the translated versions in their entirety.
